Taylor Mikell is the COO of Steignet. He is a 15 year Investment Banker with significant experience in high finance and the real estate sector. Taylor’s former career on Wall Street includes him working for such top firms as Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, and Stifel. His bulge bracket experience has allowed him to be at the forefront of over $70BN of transactions.
While a Vice President in Stifel’s Real Estate coverage group, Mikell led deal execution on over 100 transactions (total deal value in excess of $45B) for real estate companies focused on multifamily, retail, net-lease, industrial, self-storage, office and specialty asset classes; including buy and sell-side M&A, equity and equity-linked, IPO, high-yield and investment grade debt, bridge facilities, bank/institutional loans and asset financings. Such notable transactions include: a multibillion bid for a publicly traded healthcare operator, a $230M initial capitalization for Recovery Centers of America, and a $90M IPO for Peak Resorts.
During his career at Merrill Lynch, Taylor drove deal execution on more than 45 transactions (total deal value in excess of $25B) for regulated electric / gas utilities, transmission projects and unregulated power plants. He was in charge of developing complex power plant generating models for coal, gas, nuclear, and renewable fuel types incorporating commodity, technology, and regional power market and emission sensitivities for regulated and unregulated assets. His initial experience from the energy sector gave him numerous real estate valuations with numerous hard assets.
Taylor graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with extensive background in Aeronautical Engineering. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, and playing volleyball and golf.
